Farming with Agnihotra

Agnihotra is practised on farms around the world, and includes the regular (daily) practise of agnihotra, and the addition of Agnihotra ash to the water and soil, and some other specialty preparations. The regular Agnihotra creates a biosphere that nourishes, purifies and vitalises the atmosphere and in turn plant life. Ancient vedic science states that more than 75% of nutrition to plants and soil comes through the atmosphere. By supporting the plant kingdom, agnihotra and homa therapy can assist to purify the land and water contaminated by heavy metals and other pollutants and incease oxygen.

Agnihotra can fit in with any organic farming method as it assists nature to come back into balance as well as assisting the farmer to be healthy in body and mind.

Specific effects on plants:

  • The soil is rendered more friable and the phosphate content in the soil is rendered more water soluble and thus more bioavailable to plants
  • Greater disease resistance takes place as the lifeforce is enhanced
  • Taste, texture, colour, nutritional value, longer shelf life makes produce superior
  • You build a protective biosphere
  • The pores of the plants open at sunrise and sunset to take in the flood of micro-nutrients and prana(lifeforce) in the atmosphere

To act as the true guardians of mother earth we need to be able to give back to nature. We consume air, water, plants, animal and mineral kingdom – for food, shelter and energy resources – this is natural. The use of chemical fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides is destroying the delicate ecosystems of nature, as we accumulate the chemicals in our body from the food we eat and the pollution in the environment.

The ash from Agnihotra is highly medicinal, it is full of prana (lifeforce) and all micronutrients in perfect balance for health.
