The image above was taken at 2pm Saturday afternoon (5th June 2016)….the garden was underwater by dark….however the waters have quickly receeded, and everything is drying out in the sun…..Fortunately there has been little damage to the crops 🙂

I felt very helpless in the face of the storm, and once again was faced with the vulnerability of farming and freaky weather conditions! The raised beds and high nutrient content of the plants protect them against some of the stresses they face out in the paddock.

Earlier in the week we had brewed and dispensed some compost tea, though we will re-apply in the next few weeks, as the flood likely washed much of the microbiology away….
