This Week’s Feature: Lemongrass
I love lemongrass, it is a beautiful super-herb, with an aromatic flavour, popular through all of Asia.

Lemongrass has many healing effects, and traditionally has been used to treat fever, menstrual cramps, gas, infectious disease, rheumatism, colds, cancer,…its uses also extend to being a nerve tonic, and as a diuretic to flush toxins from the body, whilst restoring and revitalising the mind and body.

Lemongrass Tea
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp jaggery (or rapadura sugar)
1 tsp tea
2 lemongrass leaves
1/4 tsp finely chopped ginger
5 basil leaves

1. Heat water
2. Finely chop lemongrass and basil leaves and add
3. Add ginger and jaggery
4. Let boil for 3 minutes
5. Add milk, bring to boil
5. Add tea, remove from heat and steep another 3 minutes
6. Strain
