1 onion

2 tbsp ghee or butter

1 tsp salt

2 bay leaves

12 or more chopped tomatoes

0.5 tsp cumin powder

0.5 tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp coriander powder

chilli sliced down the middle (optional)

1. Heat ghee, add onions…saute for 2 minutes
2. Add salt and bay leaves, saute until onions are translucent
3. Add chilli, cook for 2 min
4. Add chopped tomatoes
5. Cook with lid on for 10 mins on low-med heat
6. Add 1 cup water…cook for 20 mins
7. Add cumin, coriander, turmeric powder, cook another 10 mins
8. Add salt, pepper and more water if required
